Description

302811 was completed November 22, 1965 and sold new at Deet Eichel VW of Modesto, California in Sand Beige paint over Black Leatherette upholstery, equipped with a Webasto heater and Phoenix tires. Several early notations of services performed are recorded on the vehicle's Kardex, with Porsche Car Pacific, Burlingame is recorded as the handler. It's believed the 911 spent the majority of its life in California and Washington State.

In more recent years, 302811 received a sympathetic restoration and a thorough mechanical recommissioning of all systems, including the brakes, suspension, exhaust and intake. In 2017 the car was imported to the UK by it’s current owner and on arrival we were entrusted with the upkeep and servicing of the car.

In 2020 the current owner wanted the car to become more purposeful on the road and we commenced on a “Sports Purpose” makeover of 302811. This work included fitting Fuchs type wheels with Avon CRF6ZZ’s, using our 2.0 race car experience to set up the suspension and fit custom set Koni sports dampers, larger Anti Roll Bars, all new bushes, ST style seats and harnesses, a custom sports exhaust and finally rolling road tuning and geometry set up. Now the car drives exactly as a well set up SWB 911 should do and is an absolute joy to drive the car also sounds the part on the custom stainless steel exhaust system. 

Verified by its Porsche Factory Kardex and Certificate of Authenticity, 302811 retains its original numbers-matching engine and 5-speed transmission and is also complete with an original Driver's Manual, jack and tool kit.
