Classic Porsche For Sale
One of the original 232 cars built by Porsche during the first three months of production Chassis number 300241 was finished on the 17th December approximately the 180th car built before the end of the year.
This car was supplied from the Porsche agent (Fleischauer Cologne) to D’Ieteran the famous Belgium Porsche Concessionaires in Dec 64 and the car was used in early Rally and Hillclimb events. A well known Porsche collector and racer Friedrich Fritz Kozka purchased the car in the early 1990’s and had it fully restored. The car was then set up for tarmac rallies by Walter Rohrl and then used by Fritz in the German Historic Rally Championship. in 1997, 2000 and 2001 the car competed in the Tour Auto and was driven by other celebrated names Robert Barrie, David Clark and Rowan Atkinson.
In 2008 Historika purchased the car and in 2012 the car was totally stripped and rebuilt by Historika using our wealth of SWB race car knowledge. The car was competitive from the outset and has become very well known in the pre 66 GT race series across Europe. With numerous class wins in Masters Gentleman’s Drivers and Peter Auto 60’s Endurance. The car really has become somewhat of a “David” vs “Goliath” beating a number of Cobras and E-Types throughout the season with many top ten finishes overall. In 2014 this 901 finished 2nd overall in the scratch points for the 60’s Endurance Series and Won overall the 2 litre class. As well as this the car has had some sensational success at the Goodwood Motor circuit. At the 2014 Revival the car qualified 2nd in the Fordwater Trophy and got a podium finish with 3rd place in the race. At the 2015 Goodwood 73rd Members Meeting there was an all Porsche 911 Pre 1967’s race ( The John Aldington Trophy). This car qualified on pole and took a convincing lights to flag victory by 12 seconds.
Since then the car success has continued with many more class victories at Monza, Spa, Vallelunga, Mugello, Jarama to name a few. We have just returned from Paul Ricard where we were crowned the Peter Auto 2.5L class champions and also won the inagurial 2.0L Cup Championship in 2018
